As the Director of Rehab Services, it has been my pleasure to work directly with RTG Medical these past two years. We are slightly rural and this has presented some challenges in filling therapy vacancies as rapidly as we would like. RTG Medical was very responsive at presenting potential candidates to us to fill our vacancies in a variety of positions. Some of these positions were relatively short term and others were long term. Two of them became full time employees. There was good collaboration between RTG and our facility throughout the review, hiring and contracting process and I believe this enabled us to ensure our patients received the best possible therapy throughout their course of care, our ultimate goal. In addition, the contracted staff worked well with existing employees of our facility in order to accomplish the goals we had set for our department. If we ever have an extended vacancy again, RTG will be the first company we go to for assistance.

Recently, I received a letter from you with an enclosed Press Ganey survey. I completed the survey and mailed it out. However, I still felt the need to share my experience at S.C.H. with you. In your cover letter you stated that, “providing quality care and excellent service are of the utmost importance.” I have been employed by a local hospital for 8 years now and their mission is similar to yours. However, I needed to tell you personally that S.C.H. and the staff that provided service to me on my visits met your expectations. I was so impressed with the facility and the treatment that I received as an outpatient on April 8th and then again on April 15th that I have spread the word to friends, family and co-workers about the excellent service provided at S.C.H..
You have many services that are geared towards customer satisfaction, such as the shuttle bus, the greeter at the front door, expedient service, and cleanliness of the facility, the Hold and Call service and the welcoming environment. Yet the most important one that I received was communication and interaction that was provided by your staff. I had to have some lab work, X-rays, and CT scan done. In the lab, Anne S. was compassionate, professional and genuine, a real asset to your hospital. Karen and Mary Ann also participated in my lab services; they were very friendly and comforting. I then encountered Debbi in X-ray; she also provided excellent service with a smile.
On April 15th, I had to return for CT scans, Jon and Gary C. that performed the procedure demonstrated concern and quality care.
In this world today, especially in health care where things continue to be high paced, it is rare to find so many smiling faces that make you feel like you are more important than just a number. I hope that you can recognize these employees in some manner because it feels good when patients appreciate services provided by healthcare workers. I know first hand because our hospital uses the Press Ganey and it is nice to get mentioned from patients. Although I work at a hospital and have utilized their services, I plan to continue to receive all my future medical care from your facility and staff so I look forward to more pleasant experiences at S.C.H.

Here at STJPCC, we have had three separate patients (and their families) tell us how impressed they have been with Lance. He has helped each of them feel comfortable. One specific example is from (a patient's) parents. (The patient) is a young boy who had a chest x-ray last week. Lance apparently did some teaching and modeling for (the patient) using an Elmo doll. His parent's were very impressed and (the patient) was at ease the entire time.
